The Guild - Overview

OUR MISSION

The Vallejo Artists’ Guild is a collaborative, Vallejo-based, visual arts organization. It exists for the benefit of its members and the community at large, which include, artists, art groups, supporters, appreciators and explorers of the arts. We will build community locally through cooperation with literary, musical, performing and other artists, as well as with the general public. We will work together to maintain a gallery, offer educational programs and social events.

The Guild is comprised of six standing committees. One Board member serves as Director of each committee. To ensure communication among the committees, who need to cooperate, Directors make monthly reports at the Board Meeting. Any member interested in the Guild’s business affairs is welcome to attend the meeting.

If you are a Member, please review these Committees and think about an area in which you would most like to volunteer. Some positions need filling with more urgency than others. Ask a member of the Board of Directors to help you find a position that you will enjoy. Board of Directors and Officers can be found on the front of each Vallejo Artists' Guild newsletter.

If you are considering joining as a Director you will be filling an essential role for the Guild’s continued success. The Directors of the Guild are currently unofficially filling more than one of the positions but would greatly appreciate support from other volunteers.
